found poem from the new york times

LAS VEGAS --

for decades lavishly
wine and dine

the exhibition

here: stars, parties, the works.
last year pieces of
wanted, incredible, mamma

this year?
didn't even bother

tipping point, say
splashy slow decline
cutting
some corners
decided to sit it out --
an elaborate
cover to do the same

a remnant from another
veteran whose clients include
word-of-mouth
and that's about all

part of the problem
other industries grew up
buttoned-down
clung to old habits
as embedded

the reason is, they could:
years of huge DVD cable-television universe

studio bosses ate on autopilot

with corporate overlords
suffering steep
DVD sales down
the day of reckoning is here.

You can have your naysayers,
industry and even
thrive and prosper

fly in (and out) on monday to give a speech.

still, there are signs everywhere

snuffed out. gone are the free hot dogs. gone
is the parade, gone are the first-time renters
others have left.

cutting behind its felt
remain loyal

we're not important angels 1 2 3

get together and talk about how to keep going

posters on every elevator
door room key cards
as well as posters

several dozen women say no

swung nuts-and-bolts
so the chatter, mundane and inane
keenly interested in war
("Tastes Great! Hot or Cold!")
("Creamy and Rich!!")

exclamation points
exhibiting digitally programmed
action lots of attention
similar to amusement simulators,

vibrate more than an inch
in various directions
the goal is immersive increasing soon to be unveiled
in theaters in los angeles and phoenix.

it's like getting
after taking
